Rules and Resolutions

Resolutions first:

EAT LESS SODIUM
The first one is the most important if I want to be a citizen of planet Earth.

Teach my girls to play piano. A little bit at a time.
Learn to play the cello. This is a holdover from last year.
Resume my walking/exercise program. The cold weather and early darkness have played havoc with me this fall/ winter season.
Appreciate my wife more.
Grow a garden that will knock your socks off.
Play music with our group which we have named Crimson Shed.
Play at YOUR Church. Give us a call, we'll find a way to get there.
Find my sense of humor. It seems to be in NeverNever Land along with my lost marbles.
Less resolutions than last year but plenty enough to keep me busy.

Rules:
I have noticed a need to post a few rules for MY blog.
1) No spam unless it comes in a can.
2) No calling me names. I am the only one who can call me names. I am the self-deprecator.
3) No dissing Batman. Period. End of sentence.

If you can follow those 3 easy rules, we will get along great, otherwise there will be a can opened of Biblical proportion.

Love,
Uncle Joe

We don't have a church yet, but maybe you can play for our family reunion next July. P.S. We should have one more grandchild by then... unless Daniel and Andrea are having twins.

Well, I can say it's been nice knowing you.

Caped Wonder Batman Bob, I never call you names.

I don't know either, how my smelly feet would affect your garden?

The cello is such a fine instrument. Your wifey would love to hear you play that!
Learning piano is a must for all kids!! They need to know at least the basics. Hooray for YOU!!
Send me some of those veggies this summer. I love homegrown maters and corn.
If I get any clout at our church, I will request that Crimson Tide come and do a concert. So far, I have no clout at all. I am a nobody.

Dissing is as dissing does!!!!!!!

Who has been calling you names?

Jenn said...

Really? You will come and play and my church? We are Baptist, you know, so none of that bee-bop music.

Aunt Jo said...

Jenn, when Carly was little she said, "Bathists don't dance." so, Bathists don't play beebop music either??

Joe you left your sense of humor somewhere in the midwest. I'll help you look for it later. ;o)

I hope you and your family are surviving the ice storm alright. I know Muskogee (I thought I remembered you saying that's where you live) was hit particularly hard and you're probably still out of power as of this posting. We were spared the worst of it in the Claremore and Tulsa area, though travel is still difficult.

Take care.

In other related news, Uncle Joe has decided to hop into his Batmobile and ride off into the sunset, at an location unbeknownst to bloggers everywhere. He was last seen yelling something about an inconvenient rip in his neoprene bat suit and reportedly saying, "I'll be back", with a gleam and tear in his eye as he jumped into his glorious vehicle and zoomed off.

His whereabouts still unknown, except for Aunt Jo and little Jos, who of course knows where he is cause, like, she makes his dinner and darns his socks and stuff.

Besides, married people know where their spouses are, even when they are off looking for giant neoprene muscle patches in #21 dark cloud grey.
