Dreams and Life

Please help me with last nights dream. I was on the street in front of the house I grew up on. Suddenly in the air there appeared half- full helium balloons. Most of them were stuck under a large tree. I discovered that if you pull them down and attach two or more together they then have the strength to rise up and catch a wind current and float away, to the sound of oooh's and aaah's of several unidentified onlookers.

Go ahead,analyze away.

wellllll
first, were you naked?
perhaps you have an unfulfilled dream of breathing in helium, and recording your outgoing message on the family phone.
oh
were you serious? okay, here's the serious version
lots of people feel half empty, but they find that if they join others, and let God hang onto the string, then they can reach their dreams. work as a team, with your lovely family. go to church?

Did you have a lot of gas on your stomach? Eat before going to bed?

Or perhaps you have some problems and if you would have put your problems in the balloons your problems would have floated away with the balloons. Did you put your problems in them first??

Where in the Bible does it say, that when two or more are gathered in my name, I will be there too? I think it is reminding you that when two or three people (at least) pray together that their prayers will have more strength than one prayer alone. (the ballons in the trees)

I think your dream fit in nicely with our Sunday School lesson too by the way. The rest of the class is not normal like us and can see the correlation.

Oh Susie, you should have heard the HILARIOUS messages Joe used to leave on his answering machine when we were dating and first got married. We had people all over creation calling just to hear the message. He used to work in the produce department and had rap called "Collard Greens" Maybe now that his creative juices are flowing like crazy again he will do it again. :o)

Susie, I believe I was clothed (for a change). Helium? Ha! I used to inhale helium at the grocery store and page people over the intercom. That may well have caused this brain damage that I have today. Rachel, some of the balloons were dark colored; you may be on to something. Auntie J, you are right too.
The Produce rap started like this:
Collard greens, turnip greens, mustard greens (repeat 2x)
I forgot the rest of it.

my mom was a little miffed not too long ago when she called, and our outgoing message was moi, on helium, with the big dyl laughing his rear off in the background. i'm a bad influence, and you'd think i would know better. i'm pretty sure i was switched at birth. i embarrass my mom horribly.

Somebody filled the helium baloons too soon. If you fill 'em the day before the party, especially for an outdoor party, they lose their oomph, and you're in big doo-doo. Then, if ya tie 'em together, of course they're gonna fly away. Ya gotta tie 'em to the picnic table, or your dog's tail.

Now, could you help me with MY dream? My boss needed to borrow my car, so I trudged 3 blocks to go get it (I don't know why I parked so far away) and when I got there, the key had broken into about 15 pieces in my hand.

SEEKER, yes you have come to the right place. Dream Intepretation 101. Whenever any boss asks for something we all feel like we have to go out of our way to make him/her happy. Trudging is not allowed in real life (at least don't let the boss see you do it) so we save our trudges for our dreams. The broken key: Could be you held it over the lighter too long. Could be that you feel you can never make your boss happy and the broken key symbolizes your
complete frustration. If you love your boss then forget everything I just said.

seeker, i too have a take on your dream. the trudging represents your reluctance to all things bossy. the key represents your broken dreams, at your disappointment in your job. and the car too far away represents your not setting your goals high enough for your career.

now that was the biggest load i've ever put forth.

uncle joe. i hate the way coffee tastes right after you eat something sweet. what can you do about this, and don't say, "don't eat sweet things with your coffee" because that would be the expected response, and i don't like expected responses, they make me angry, and i become irate, and do violent things.

Seeker said...

Uncle Joe and Susie, you guys are just way too spooky....
BTW, Joe, you aren't the Joseph of the OT are you? He had a coupl'a good interpretations.
Susie, have your dessert and coffee in my garage. It's about -12F in there. You'll be so glad the coffee is hot, it won't matter WHAT it tastes like. (And I think your drummer has had enough caffeine.)

Susie, you are actually very good at Dream Int.101 Are you a prophetess? I will get back to you on the sweet/coffe BAD/ problem but my first guess is TOO MUCH HELIUM!!!CAN YOU HEAR ME?

Saur♥Kraut said...

They say that floating and flying dreams are your way of telling yourself that you can handle your problems (you have mastery over them).

Still, I've read a lot on dream analysis and ultimately all the experts say: it means whatever it means to YOU. That is their way of saying "Don't make US do the work interpreting YOUR dream!"

;o)

not only am i a prohetess, but i have the gift of discernment. i am a well rounded individual. many people are seeking me out, on a continuous basis. i am very busy. as you can tell by all the blogging.

seeker, we're spooky, but are we at all right? huh, are we getting close?

You dreamed because, playing one of the shepherds, you inhaled some wise guys' burning francincense. Stop going to Christmas plays. The innkeeper had his own stash- you could have stayed out of the barn.
Just kidding the balloons represent your need to buy Ted presents or candy. Letting them go represents you not buying Ted presents or candy but instead manufacturing gas lighter than air not induced by stromboli.
Get back with me on this I may be retiring from dream school today.

Whistle Britches said...

Ted, Thou (that's KJV talk) art indeed a prophet. The helium of the lard has disguised the talk of a prudent man. Prov: 006

Jamie Dawn said...

I think this is implying that you have an abundance of air within your head. It is saying that you are indeed, an airhead. Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to be blonde or female to be an airhead. The balloons signify your efforts to put rational thoughts together. The applause is meant to encourage you to keep trying.

getting away from your past is easier then you thought.

Yep, Susie, after reading the interpretations you and Joseph made, I've decided to go for my M.D. and take over for the boss. Thanks for shedding some light on my career path. Joe, the cleaners called and your coatofmanycolors will be ready tomorrow.

Whistle Britches said...

Seeker, with friends like us to encourage us your M.D. is just a few heartbeats away!
